We’re super proud of our incredibly talented motion designer, Zoe Crocker, who was named a finalist at this year’s AGDA Awards.
Zoe joined Never Sit Still a year and a half ago, following graduation from her UTS Vis Comm degree. She’s proven herself to be a valuable asset to the team, with her impressive illustration, design and animation skills. We’re stoked to call her our own
We’ve been steadily growing since opening our doors in 2016 and we’re excited to welcome two new members to the team.
John Grist and Matt Nguyen are both seasoned freelancers, who bring a wealth of motion design experience to Never Sit Still. We can’t wait to see what they bring to our projects.
Never Sit Still are overwhelmed with the results of this year’s AGDA Design Awards. We picked up our very first Pinnacle, which is the highest accolade a jury can bestow on a piece of work. It means the work was of outstanding quality – the summation of an original and engaging idea executed to the highest level of craft.
From our seven finalists, we also took home two Distinctions, which is a huge accomplishment that we’re incredibly proud of.
Last year, Never Sit Still teamed up with Luxx to work on a new film about Artificial Intelligence called Machine. Our role was to create the 3D animations of neural networks, to assist in visualising these abstract and complex systems.
Over the weekend, the film premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival. Directed by Justin Krook, and produced by the awesome team behind Chef’s Table, the film features world-renowned experts at the forefront of this radical technology. This documentary is well worth checking out when you get the chance.
We had the opportunity to run an advertisement before a selection of films at the Sydney Film Festival, so we made this short vignette explaining what we do at Never Sit Still.
So now when our mothers ask us what we do for a living, it’s pretty simple to explain — We make things move.
The team were also super excited to have this project featured on one of our favourite motion blogs, Good Moves.
Hat tip to the talented Phillip Tibballs and Zoe Crocker for their amazing work on this one.
Never Sit Still were proud to be involved with Adobe’s APAC conference for the third year running. Previously called Make It, this year Symposium combined both Creative and Digital Experiences audiences for the very first time.
Once again, we worked on the opening titles for the event, which were played across 5 huge screens and an epic sound system at Sydney’s International Convention Centre. And our Director, Mike Tosetto, was invited to speak on 2 different stages across the 2 day event.
Our Director, Mike Tosetto, will be heading over to New Zealand to judge the motion category of The Best Design Awards for 2018. And he’s also a guest speaker at Across the Ditch, an event that takes place during the judging week.
Our very own Phil Tibballs will speaking at AGDA’s First Five Out event on May 22, 2018. The four speakers on the night will be sharing their stories from their first five years out in the industry, and their unique paths through the creative industry.
We know Phil’s come a long way since he started in this field many moons ago, and we look forward to hearing about his journey.
If you’re a student or recent graduate asking yourself ‘What’s next?’, this is a perfect opportunity to hear from people who’ve done it all before.
Our Director, Mike Tosetto, is currently taking his motion workshop on tour around Australia with AGDA, the Australian Graphic Design Association.
Motion has become a core element of progressive brands, where static identities are no longer enough in the digital age. This is not a workshop about how to use software, it’s an overview of how to approach motion as a designer yet to venture into the world of animation.
The workshops are taking place in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne between April and June 2018.
